Our schools is a CMI school, is there any translated Chinese paper for CMI students.

我們是CMI學校，有沒有中文的譯卷讓CMI同學參與？
  • Yes, of course, we have papers both in English and Chinese(繁體). Questions in both versions are exactly the same.
  • 有，我們設有各級中/英文試卷，中英文卷的問題是相同的。

Some topics in ANCQ are not taught/covered in  Form 5 (Combinded Sci) course.  For example, organic chemistry is scheduled to be covered in Form 6.  Are combined science (Chemistry)  students  academically ready for ANCQ? Say S.5 students

ANCQ 部份題目仍未教授。比方說：有機化學將於中六教授，那末中五的組合科學(化學)學生能否回答相關題目?
  • Stems of ANCQ often provide many hints.  Questions are set by the nature of deduction, and reasoning.  All organic chemistry questions in 2009 and 2010 (part of 2007 as well) are posted here for your reference.

During 26th June to 24th July, our school is full of 'big' functions, could we choose the competition in the afternoon-session?

在26/6至24/7這段期間，我們學校有很多大型活動舉行，ANCQ比賽能否在下午舉行？
  • Yes, participating schools can choose their convenient time to administer the quiz, but students sitting for the same quiz paper should be arranged to sit for the quiz in one specific time-slot. No supplmentary session shall be made for the absentee(s).
  • 可以，參加ANCQ的學校可以選擇他們適合的時間去舉行測試，但是參與某一級別的同學應該在同一時間參加測試，對於缺席者,學校是不應安排補測。

How can the school collect and return the quiz papers?

學校如何領取試卷？
  • (1)Teachers have to fill in the Collection Form and submit together with the application form to HKASME office to declare the intended date(s) of the quiz.  Our staff will inform the teacher-in charge the date and time to collect the quiz paper by fax within one week.
  • 老師提交application form 時一同交回Collection Form至HKASME辦公室, 我們的職員會在收到資料後一個星期內以傳真通知負責老師領取試卷的日期及時間。
  • (2) Papers can normally be obtained 1 working day before the earliest day of the quiz..
  • 通常,測驗卷會在測試前一個工作天派發。
  • (3) Schools shall assign one staff (teacher or janitor) to collect paper in person with the presentation of the Collection Form (Faxed from HKASME) one working day before the Quiz.
  • 老師應指派一位職員(老師或校工)在測驗前一個工作天親身領取試卷(須出示由HKASME fax出的Collection Form)。
  • (4) Schools shall return all quiz papers during the office hours from 26th June to 26th July, 2013.
  • 學校須於2013年6月26日至7月26日交回試題及答卷(包括週期表,如有的話)。
  • (5) Important: Both quiz papers and answer sheets shall be returned to HKASME, including the Periodic Table, if any.
  • 重要: 試題及答卷均需交回(包括週期表, 如有的話)

 

Is it necessary to return all quiz papers and answer sheets?

所有試卷及答卷是否必須交回？
  • Participating schools shall return their question papers and answer sheets. The whole school may be disqualified if they fail to submit all sets of question paper and answer sheet (including the Periodic Table, if any).
  • 所有試卷及答卷(包括週期表,如有的話)必須交回，若參加學校未能交回試卷及答卷，該校有機會被取消參賽資格。

 

  • All quiz papers shall be returned within 48 hours after the quiz.
  • 所有測驗試卷/答卷必須於測驗後48小時內交回香港數理學會。

Can we assign a teaching assistant to invigilate the quiz?

能否指派教學助理去監考？

Yes, but please ensure that he/she are familiar to the exam arrangement.
